As well as training clients and their dogs, I've spent
30 Years
training my own dogs.
Showing in American Kennel Club (AKC), United Kennel Club (UKC), Canadian
Kennel Club (CKC). Participating in Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Rally Obedience and Schutzhund.

My 4-H students participate and earn placements in county and state level 4-H
and AKC Dog Shows.

for people who own their dog and want it trained for Mobility Assistance,
Hearing Assistance and Emotional Support.
My
Philosophy
I use motivational methods, i.e. food, toy and praise. I
prefer food training, and that's the main idea behind my

I also advocate teaching your dog each exercise. I don't correct a dog until
I know he understands what I want.
My "OTHER" Life
Besides dog training, I also have a
full time job. I've been married to Mike for 35 years. He's responsible
for building my dream (dog training building), working on it in his spare
time. He's a union carpenter, so this building will be standing 100 years from
now! We have one child, Katie. She's 30 years old. Together, we established
Mika German Shepherds in 1976. |
